The Wheeling Auto Center’s 6th Annual ART CONTEST
Contest Theme
“Circus Cars”
Ever wonder what kind of cars ringmasters, clowns, trapeze artists and circus animals would like to drive? We asked the students at our local elementary schools that question, and they put their imaginations to work, dreaming up all kinds of fun, silly and inventive vehicles for our 6th annual art contest.
Wheeling Auto Center received 146 entries from students in grades 1-8 at our local schools. While we loved all the entries (and wanted to take them home and hang them on our fridges), we had to pick our favorites. The students who came up with the most creative
circus cars were honored at our awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. The Best in Show and grade-level winners each received a $100 prize, and our Honorable Mention was presented with a $50 award. All the winners will see their artwork displayed in the Wheeling Auto Center lobby for the next year. After our customers have had a year to admire the circus art, the winners will be able to take their framed drawings home.
Because we truly enjoyed all the artwork we received, we needed to give a prize to all our participants as a thank you for sharing their creations. All the students who took part in the art contest received a
$5 gift certificate to Baskin Robbins.
