Wheeling Auto Center (WAC) carefully selects highly skilled technicians who take pride in their work. Take a look at the plaques and training certificates in our waiting area to see for yourself. We’re proud of our technicians and the efforts they have invested into earning their ASE and other specialized or general certifications. We realize, however, that automotive technology changes constantly. Comprehensive ongoing training is a must, and WAC enthusiastically participates in a variety of ongoing continuing education programs. We require that each employee complete at least 40 hours of continuing education per year.
Here at WAC, all of our technicians are L1-Certified Master Auto Technicians. There are more than 400,000 ASE-Certified professionals who work in the U.S., but fewer than 51,000 of them hold the prestigious L1 certification. At WAC, you won’t pay more to have the best-trained, most experienced technicians service your vehicle. L1 technicians are trained to recognize any symptom or problem, even while performing a basic procedure such as an oil change. The employees at your local fast-lube stores can’t do that because they are only capable of servicing a small percentage of your car's needs. They are trained exclusively to drain your oil, replace your filter, and identify additional limited services they sell.
